The optimisation can take place in 2 places with SAP Business One. It is possible to optimise material requirements when entering quotes and orders which also allows offcuts to be optimised. This improves off cut usage and accurate pricing for customers. It is also possible to optimise materials against production orders, or groups of production orders in SAP Business One. From both points it is possible to produce cutting lists for each sheet to meet requirements. The module delivers the following Features:
Ochiba OPTIONS Sheet Cutting Optimisation provides an automated way of optimising your materials cutting for sheet based raw materials. This solution provides 2 dimensional optimisation on sheet products, and can work in a ’nested’ form for laser cutting. It can be used for cutting and nesting rectangular sheets made of glass, wood, metal, or any other material used by industrial applications.
Guillotine optimisation- The cutting are performed from one side to the other of the material.
Non-guillotine (nested / laser) optimisation- The cutting machine can follow the shape of the material.
Multi-stage cutting optimisation- The optimisation is done in multiple stages. In each stage all cuts have the same direction ). This is useful when you have many sheets to cut and you are interested in obtaining faster cutting results. This optimisation is useful when it is difficult for you to rotate the sheet.
Ochiba OPTIONS Bars / Lengths Cutting Optimisation provides an automated way of optimising your materials cutting for linear based bars or length based raw materials. This solution provides 1 dimensional optimisation on lengths of products, and can adapt for multiple stack cutting and angles of cut.
The module can be used for cutting linear pieces such as bars, pipes, tubes, steel bars, or any other material used by industrial applications. It is possible to handle multiple lengths (also called Stock or Repository pieces) in multiple stock length sizes. This means the total waste is smaller compared to one by one handling of stock pieces.
