With a strong in-house development team, Ochiba have developed a portfolio of additional modules to complement and extend the already comprehensive functionality offered by SAP Business One. These include:
The usability pack extends the flexibility in customising SAP Business One for an individual customer. It provides several optional additional features:
Project consolidation provides a single multi tabbed screen where all project related transactions are brought together, providing a complete project review with profitability and the ability to access all project related documents in SAP Business One from one place.
Product Configurator allows you to configure to order complex products with multiple attributes as part of the order entry process. Each attribute affects the cost and retail price of the selected item.
Two versions of this tool are available, a graphical scheduler and a screen based scheduler.
The graphical scheduler takes pre-defined SAP Business One activities and loads them against employees on a graphical scheduling board. Unlike the standard SAP calendar there is no limit to the number of people displayed on the board and it uses the standard HR functionality of grouping people into teams. Activities can be changed by dragging / dropping the time bars, and activities can be dropped onto other users to reallocate. SAP is updated in real time.
The screen based view is an SAP Business One screen split into two halves. The top half has the activities listed, persons assigned, and dates across with the hours loaded for each. Activities can still be dragged from one cell to another to move an activity in the top half of the screen. The bottom half of the screen shows a summary of the resources and the loading in each day across the screen. The unit shown in the bottom screen i.e. hours, value etc is user definable.
The SIMON integration toolset enables external data to be processed into and out of SAP Business One databases. It comprises of:
The SIMON integration toolset can be used for traditional EDI applications as well as client specific requirements. The suite is table driven and provides a flexible method of integrating 3rd party applications or 3rd party data into SAP Business One in an automated manner.
Ochiba's Business One E-commerce system uses simple hooks into your existing customer management and checkout pages to relay events from the website direct to the Business One database. The link can operate in real-time, or close to real-time, and is fault tolerant to enable it to cope with typical internet communication problems. Feedback events can be sent back to the website from SAP Business One or from the website to SAP Business One, for example for stock control. The following events are currently supported:
Communications between the website and SAP Business One are sent over the internet using a SOAP style protocol, so the two systems do not need to be installed on the same server. Typically the office 'listening' server will be accessed via broadband connection with fixed IP address, and communications in both directions are secured against the IP address (or address range) of the web server and office network. The listening server on the office network requires Microsoft IIS server and SAP DI-Server.
This solution fits best with Microsoft / ASP based sites as the code blocks for the web site end are written for this. Java / PHP based site would need additional days to add code to the web site.
